New Mexico State Park
Less a conventional park than a zoo and botanical garden, with 40-plus native animal species and hundreds of Chihuahuan Desert plants. The only walking is the 1.3-mile visitor loop through the exhibits — a gradual descent and climb of about 70 feet. No camping, and no pets.
$10 per adult (13+) — Admission $10 adults, $5 children ages 7-12.
